Dozens of slow-pitch softball teams competed last week in the 44th annual Jamie Parsons Memorial Rainball Tournament, organized by the Juneau Softball Association.
The tournament, which included 16 men’s and six women’s teams, culminated on Sunday with the championship games. Round robin games began Thursday evening, and continued Friday evening and Saturday morning. The teams were then seeded into double elimination brackets based on round-robin performance, with three or more teams in each of the following brackets: Men’s C, Men’s E, Men’s F, Women’s D and Women’s F.
The following teams took home their respective Rainball division titles: Allen Marine in Men’s C, Rounders in Men’s D, Double Ugly’s in Men’s E, ACOA Game of Throws in Men’s F, Princess Cruises in Women’s D and Luke the Dukes Bells Women’s E.
