CCS hosts fundraising gala Saturday

Catholic Community Service is hosting a fundraising gala on Saturday night.

The gala will take place from 6-11 p.m. at Elizabeth Peratrovich Hall. It’s a Valentines Day theme (“How sweet it is to be loved by you”) and will feature live music, dancing and food.

“While this is a fundraiser to support our agency’s work helping individuals and families across Southeast Alaska, the true goal is to come together to celebrate the work we do and to say ‘thank you’ to our many community partners,” a release from CCS states.

CCS is a nonprofit social service and health care agency that serves Southeast Alaska. It runs services such as hospice and home care, a child care assistance program and a child advocacy center, and it operates a dozen senior centers (including meals on wheels services) in Southeast villages and cities.

Tickets are $100 each, or $750 for a table to eight. Tickets can be purcahsed at www.ccsjuneau.org, at the door, or by calling Fund Development Coordinator Nathan Lovik at 463-4165.
