Opinion: Alaska’s US Senators should vote to remove Trump

Alaska’s US Senators should vote to remove Trump

Killing the Iranian general and attempting to kill the commander in Yemen will not make Americans safer. It guarantees there will be revenge some where some time. Abandoning our Kurdish allies in Syria who fought so bravely against ISIS did not make Americans safer. Attacking the Iranians is payback to his friend the Saudi crown prince. With the many billions in military equipment and training from America, the Saudis should be able to fight their own battles. It’s no accident that Trump’s son-in-law has been involved in arms sales to the Saudis and they have bailed out his failing businesses. Abandoning the Kurds was a favor to his friend the Turkish autocrat. What will start to turn things around and make Americans safer is for U.S. Sens. Dan Sullivan and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska to vote for the removal of this erratic and corrupt president at the conclusion of his Senate trial. Mike Pence certainly looks like he would be a poor leader but almost anyone would be an improvement over Trump.
