Musson takes Mount Roberts Tram Run

Fifty-six runners took part in the annual Mount Roberts Tram Run Saturday morning, racing from the tram’s lower parking lot up to Father Brown’s Cross, a vertical gain of 1,800 feet.

Joshua Musson won the race and also set a new course record of 31:38, breaking Geoff Roes’ record of 32:54 set in 2008. Matt Callahan took second place, and John Bursell third.

Amie Spieth was the first woman to touch the cross, with a time of 43:22. She was 12th overall.

Race organizers thanked Jim Duncan and the Mount Roberts Tram for supporting the Juneau Trail and Road Runners event.
