Turkey Shoot returns

The Thanksgiving Turkey Shoot returns this year on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Juneau Gun Club and Alaska Department of Fish and Game Hunter Education Facility at 5670 Montana Creek Road.

Eighty turkeys will be awarded to skilled and lucky participants. Shooting events are for shotgun, rifle, pistol and archery. Games of skill and chance for both children and adults will also have turkey prizes.

Loaner shotguns are available or bring your own. Rifles and pistols are provided as no personal rifles or pistols are allowed. Ammo is provided for all events.

This is a combined event hosted by the Juneau Gun Club, the Juneau Shooting Sports Foundation, the Juneau Archery Club and ADFG. For more information, contact the Juneau Gun Club at 789-9844 or ADFG at 465-4265.
