ANCHORAGE — Alaska State Troopers say a 23-year-old Anchorage woman is under arrest after she passed out with her foot on the gas pedal of a car she had been driving in the village of Aleknagik.
Elena Bartman-Wallman is charged with driving under the influence and driving with a revoked license. Online court records do not show an attorney for her.
Troopers say they were notified Sunday afternoon about a possible intoxicated driver who was stuck on Aleknagik Road.
Troopers say Bartman-Wallman was in a small car that was facing oncoming traffic. Troopers say the tires had been melted down to the rim and the car was engulfed in white smoke from the front tires, which were still spinning.
Troopers say multiple witnesses reported passengers in the car had run off.
