SEAGLA Halloween event hits the lanes

On Friday night, tricks and treats will pair with strikes and spares for the Southeast Alaska Gay and Lesbian Alliance’s (SEAGLA’s) annual Monster Ball event.

The night of costumes, bowling, snacks and games takes place at Taku Lanes, with bowling running from 10 p.m. to midnight. Attendees are asked to arrive sometime between 9:45 and 10 p.m., and there’s a suggested donation of $10 for people aged 18 or older. All ages are welcome, and the suggested donation for those under 18 is $5.

The event began for families of Gay Straight Alliance students, and has grown from there. There will games, music and there will be prizes for the best costumes. All proceeds go to SEAGLA, a nonprofit that supports gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer individuals in Southeast.
