Police & fire report for Friday, Sept. 9, 2016

Fire and medical

• On Wednesday, Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to 15 EMS calls, six transport calls, one call about an unattended burn and one call that was canceled en route.

Minor consuming

• At 2:04 p.m. Wednesday, the Juneau Police Department cited an 18-year-old person for consuming alcohol in the 1400 block of Glacier Avenue.

Shoplifting

• At 8:14 p.m. Wednesday, JPD received a report that $137 worth of merchandise was stolen and later recovered from a business in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway. A suspect was identified and charges were forwarded to the city attorney’s office.

Theft

• At 1:21 p.m. Wednesday, a 36-year-old man reported the theft of an empty gas can, valued at approximately $20, from his property in the 5900 block of Sunset Street. There are no leads or suspects.

• 2:32 p.m. Wednesday, JPD received a report of a theft in the 3800 block of Mendenhall Loop Road. Investigation continues.

• 8 p.m. Wednesday, JPD received a report of a stolen cellphone and charger, valued at approximately $75, was stolen in the 200 block of Franklin Street. Investigation continues.

• At 7:39 a.m. Thursday, JPD received a report of a stolen television and two laptop computers, valued at approximately $1,400, in the 4000 block of Delta Drive. Investigation continues.

Trespassing

• At 6:58 a.m. Thursday, JPD arrested Raven Gomez, 20, for trespassing in the 400 block of Third Street. She was issued a summons and released.

Vandalism

• At 1:28 a.m. Thursday, JPD received a report of $250 worth of damage to a window in the 400 block of Third Street. Investigation continues.
