Police & fire for Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016

Burglary

• At 7:52 p.m. Monday, the Juneau Police Department investigated a report of theft of property valued at $100 from a residence in the 9900 block of Stephen Richards Memorial Drive.

• At 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, a 40-year-old man ran from police when contacted about an attempted burglary of a business in the 200 block of Fourth Street. Investigation continues.

Death

• At 7:17 p.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report of an expected home death in the 1800 block of Mark Alan Street.

Disturbance

• At 3 a.m. Tuesday, JPD assisted another agency in the 1500 block of 3rd Street.

Domestic violence

• At 7:21 a.m. Tuesday, JPD investigated a report of a domestic violence assault.

Fire and medical

• On Tuesday, Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to six EMS calls, four transport calls, two agency assist calls and one false fire alarm.

Sexual abuse of a minor

• At 10:23 p.m. Monday, confidential investigation into a report of the sexual abuse of a minor.

Shoplifting

• At 1:45 p.m. Monday, JPD cited and released Kevin Howard, 43, for concealing $52.58 worth of goods from the Superbear Supermarket in the 9100 block of Mendenhall Mall Road.

Theft

• At 2:27 p.m. Monday, a 69-year-old man reported that an unknown person stole tools, valued at approximately $180, from his property in the 4500 block of Trafalgar Avenue.

• At 3:42 p.m. Monday, a 45-year-old man reported two bicycles were stolen from his residence in the 300 block of Village Street.

• At 4:47 p.m. Monday, Jeffrey Wilson, 41, was cited and released for theft of approximately $265 worth of merchandise from Fred Meyer.
