Police & Fire for Friday, Jan. 13, 2017

Assault

• At 3:40 a.m. Wednesday, Juneau Police Department responded to a report of an assault in the 400 block of Franklin Street and arrested Angela Bell, 28. She was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Drug activity

• At 8:51 a.m. Wednesday, JPD arrested a 17-year-old girl for misconduct involving a controlled substance in the third degree and she was taken to Johnson Youth Center.

Fire and medical

• On Wednesday, Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to nine EMS calls around town throughout the day, and made three medical transports. At 1:32 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to Kanat’a Deyi Street for the smell of fuel, but nothing was detected. At 11:35 p.m., firefighters were dispatched for an active fire alarm on Front Street, which had been triggered by lack of maintenance.

Harassment

• At 3:05 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to a report of harassment in the 6000 block of Gull Way. Investigation continues.

Sexual assault

• At 8:42 a.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to a report of a sexual assault. Investigation continues.

Shoplifting

• At 5:35 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to a shoplifting report in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway. Investigation continues.

Theft

• At 3:57 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to a report of the unauthorized use of a debit card in the 1900 block of Lemon Creek Road. Investigation continues.

• At 9:54 a.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to a report of the theft of a Dell Inspiron laptop from inside a business in the 9000 block of Glacier Highway.

Trespassing

• At 1:32 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to a trespassing report in the 3000 block of Vintage Boulevard, and cited Michael Hoyt, 38.

Vehicle rifling

• At 10:05 p.m. Tuesday, a man in the 300 block of Gastineau Avenue reported his locked vehicle had been broken into and rifled through.
