Police calls for Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018

Burglary

• At 1:23 p.m. Sunday, the Juneau Police Department responded to the 5300 block of Shaune Drive to investigate the reported burglary of a storage unit.

Death

• At 1:14 p.m. Sunday, JPD responded to the 300 block of Egan Drive to investigate the report of a body in the water. Officers found and identified the man as Ricardo Willard, 53. Next of kin was notified. No foul play is suspected. Investigation continues. See Tuesday’s A1 for more.

Domestic violence

• At 11:59 p.m. Sunday, JPD responded to the report of an assault in the Juneau area. Alcohol was a factor. Investigation continues.

• At 2:49 a.m. Monday, JPD responded to the report of criminal mischief in the Juneau area.

Vandalism

• At 8:12 a.m. Monday, JPD responded to the 8800 block of Mallard Street to investigate the report of criminal mischief to five commercial vehicles. Investigation continues.

Vehicle rifling

• At 8:01 a.m. Monday, JPD responded to the 8400 block of Thunder Mountain Road to investigate the report of a suitcase being stolen from a vehicle.
