Police calls for Monday, April 22, 2019

Burglary

• At 7:20 a.m. Thursday, the Juneau Police Department responded to the 5400 block of Commercial Boulevard to investigate the report of a 45-year-old man who reported a storage unit had been burglarized.

• At 11:37 a.m. Thursday, JPD responded to the 11500 block of Auke Bay Harbor Road to investigate the report of a 34-year-old man who reported a burglary at his home.

Disturbance

• At 9:48 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 2200 block of Trout Street to investigate the report of two men hitting a vehicle with a sledge hammer. The two men had fled the area by the time police arrived.

Domestic violence

• At 8:57 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 10900 block of Mendenhall Loop Road to investigate the report of a 44-year-old woman who reported a 56-year-old man violated a protective order by contacting her on her property.

• At 5:36 a.m. Thursday, JPD arrested a 40-year-old man in the Juneau area for domestic violence assault. Alcohol was a factor. The man was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

• At 8:48 a.m. Thursday, JPD arrested a 53-year-old man in the Juneau area for domestic violence assault. He was taken to LCCC.

• At 10:44 a.m. Thursday, JPD responded to the report of a 45-year-old woman in the Juneau area who reported a 45-year-old man assaulted her.

Fight

• At 7:43 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 9300 block of Glacier Highway to investigate the report of a 37-year-old woman who reported a fight. The suspects had fled the scene by the time police arrived.

Theft

• At 4:43 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 300 block of Willoughby Avenue to investigate the report of a 33-year-old man who reported a black backpack was stolen out of a public building.

• At 11:32 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 3200 block of Mendenhall Loop Road to investigate the report of a 53-year-old man who reported a black Nikon D5300 worth an estimated $250 was stolen from his home.

• At 7:57 a.m. Thursday, JPD responded to the 9100 block of Glacier Highway to investigate the report of a 35-year-old woman who reported her purse was stolen out of her unlocked vehicle. A card that had been in the purse was later used at multiple Juneau businesses.

• At 10:53 a.m. Thursday, JPD responded to the 100 block of Franklin Street to investigate the report of a 50-year-old man who reported that a 32-year-old woman’s wallet was stolen from inside a business.

Warrant arrest

• At 12:23 p.m. Wednesday, JPD arrested Harold Dilts, 39, on an outstanding JPD warrant and also for interfering with an officer and violating conditions of release. Alcohol was a factor. Dilts was taken to LCCC.

• At 3:39 p.m. Wednesday, JPD arrested Alexander Brown, 32, in the 200 block of Marine Way on an outstanding Sitka Police Department warrant for failing to appear in court. The original charge was theft. Brown was taken to LCCC.
