Police calls for Friday, Aug. 19, 2016

Assault

• At 12:07 p.m. Sunday, a 49-year-old woman reported an assault by a 31-year-old woman on Marine Way. Alcohol was involved.

Burglary

• At 3:24 a.m. Monday, the Juneau Police Department received a report of burglary of a residence in the 9900 block of Stephen Richards Memorial Drive. A cellphone valued at $900 was stolen along with a wallet containing various ID and credit cards.

• At 9:49 p.m. Wednesday, JPD received a report of a residential burglary in the 1600 block of Fritz Cove Road. Investigation continues.

Child abuse/neglect

• At 12:13 p.m. Sunday, a 30-year-old woman reported possible custodial interference when her father picked up her 9-year-old son from a residence without consent in the Juneau area.

Domestic violence

• At 9:36 p.m. Sunday, JPD arrested a 26-year-old man for domestic violence assault and criminal mischief in the Juneau area. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center. Alcohol was involved.

• At 10:36 p.m. Sunday, JPD arrested a 33-year-old man for domestic violence assault and interfering with the report of domestic violence in the Juneau area. He was taken to LCCC.

Fight

• At 12:25 p.m. Wednesday, JPD received a report of two 15-year-old boys involved in mutual combat in the 1200 block of Glacier Avenue. Report to follow.

Fraud

• At 1:38 p.m. Sunday, a 55-year-old man in the 6200 block of Alaway Avenue reported that he answered an ad on Craigslist.com for possible employment. It was later determined to be a fraudulent check.

Motor vehicle crash

• At 6:29 a.m. Monday, JPD received a report that an unknown man drove a 2001 Cadillac car into a ditch in the 5000 block of Glacier Highway. A 47-year-old man was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

Shoplifting

• At 6:32 p.m. Sunday, JPD received a report that $200 worth of merchandise was shoplifted from a store in the 200 block of Franklin Street.

• At 3:54 p.m. Wednesday, JPD arrested James White, 36, for larceny in the 1200 block of Glacier Avenue and for an outstanding $100 JPD warrant for failure to appear in court for a prior larceny charge. He was taken to LCCC.

Theft

• At 1:46 p.m. Sunday, JPD received a report of theft from a business in the 200 block of Seward Street. Investigation continues.

• At 4:19 p.m. Sunday, a 32-year-old woman reported the theft of four winter tires from the side of her residence in the 4400 block of Columbia Blvd., valued at approximately $2,000.

Vandalism

• At 6:54 a.m. Monday, JPD received a report of vandalism to a front door in the 3000 block of Dimond Park Loop.

• At 8:19 a.m. Monday, JPD received a report of damage to a water fountain in the 1100 block of Calhoun Avenue. Investigation continues.
