Police calls for Friday, April 26, 2019

Domestic violence

• At 11:18 p.m. Tuesday, the Juneau Police Department responded to the report of an altercation between a 37-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman. The man had a warrant out for his arrest and fled from JPD when officers arrived to arrest him.

• At 12:26 a.m. Wednesday, JPD arrested a 37-year-old man in the Juneau area for domestic violence assault. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

• At 5:10 a.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to a 27-year-old woman’s report that a 27-year-old man had assaulted her in the Juneau area.

• At 8:49 a.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the request of an assist from another agency in finding a man who was violating conditions of release. JPD found the man in the Juneau area, arrested him for violating conditions of release and took him to LCCC.

Drug misconduct

• At 5:45 p.m., JPD conducted a confidential drug investigation in the Juneau area.

Escape

• At 2:24 p.m. Tuesday, JPD arrested Lisa Lana Kuhr, 46, in the 5500 block of Aisek Street for third-degree escape. Alcohol was a factor. Kuhr was taken to LCCC.

Motor vehicle crash

• At 10 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to the 3000 block of Fritz Cove Road for a motorcycle crash. Alcohol was a factor. Capital City Fire/Rescue transported a 36-year-old man to Bartlett Regional Hospital. JPD determined the man was recklessly driving, with charges pending until after medical attention.

Sex crime

• At 1:35 p.m. Tuesday, JPD conducted a confidential investigation into the report of sexual abuse in the Juneau area.

Theft

• At 4:52 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to the 8100 block of Glacier Highway to investigate the report that a 42-year-old man stole from a business.

Trespassing

• At 5:33 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to the 8700 block of Glacier Highway to investigate a 20-year-old man’s report that a 56-year-old man was trespassing.

• At 6 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to the 5900 block of Churchill Way to investigate a 71-year-old woman’s report that two people were trespassing in her home.

• At 7:50 p.m. Tuesday, JPD arrested Susan Sears, 33, in the 2800 block of Postal Way for violating conditions of release. Sears was taken to LCCC.

Vandalism

• At 9:06 a.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 6500 block of Glacier Highway to investigate a 31-year-old man’s report that there had been damage to park property.
