Police and fire for Sunday, Aug. 21, 2016

Assist

• At 5:49 a.m. Wednesday, the Juneau Police Department assisted another agency with an investigation at Juneau International Airport in the 1800 block of Shell Simmons Drive.

Criminal trespass

• At 6:09 a.m. Tuesday, Alan Lee, 30, was cited and released for criminal trespass in the 11800 block of Glacier Highway.

Disturbance

• At 9:51 p.m. Monday, JPD responded to a disturbance in the 2400 block of Mendenhall Loop Road. Investigation continues.

• At 1 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to a disturbance in the 200 block of Franklin Street. Report created for information only.

Domestic criminal mischief

• At 5:58 p.m. Tuesday, a 32-year-old woman was arrested for domestic violence criminal mischief after breaking a window of a residence.

Domestic violence assault

• At 5:21 p.m. Monday, JPD responded to a welfare check and investigated an assault between a 47-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman. Domestic. Investigation continues.

Drunken driving

• At 10:08 p.m. Monday, Earl Stanley Yon Jr., 42, was arrested in the 9000 block of Egan Drive for driving under the influence, refusal to submit to a chemical test and driving with a suspended license. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center. His vehicle was impounded.

• At 5:48 p.m. Tuesday, Maia Singhmor, 40, was arrested for driving under the influence, driving with a revoked license and violating her conditions of release in the 9200 block of Long Run Drive.

• At 1:33 a.m. Wednesday, Robert Rambeck, 47, was arrested in the 3300 block of Douglas Highway for driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a chemical test. He was taken to LCCC.

Intoxicated subject

• At 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to an intoxicated subject in the 200 block of Front Street. A case was created for safekeeping of property.

Motor vehicle crash

• At 2:13 p.m. Monday, JPD received a report of a damage-only motor vehicle crash in the 2900 block of Riverside Drive. A citation was issued, but JPD did not provide the name of the person cited in their Daily Bulletin. The Empire has reached out to JPD for that information.

• At 2:29 p.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report that a red and silver truck was speeding on the roadway and then swerved to avoid a vehicle that was stopped in front of it, then crossed into oncoming traffic and went into a ditch in the 2800 block of Mendenhall Loop Road. The driver of the vehicle left the scene of the crash prior to JPD’s arrival on scene. The vehicle was impounded.

Theft

• At 7:51 a.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report of theft from a construction site in the 1000 block of Tenth Street. Investigation continues.

• At 8:12 a.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report of a burglary at a business in the 13300 block of Glacier Highway. Investigation continues.

• At 11:13 a.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report of theft and vandalism at Bartlett Regional Hospital in the 3200 block of Hospital Drive. Investigation continues.

• At 1:02 p.m. Tuesday, a 32-year-old man reported his vehicle was unlawfully entered in the 9000 block of Cinema Drive, and items were stolen while it was unattended in the parking lot. The stolen items were an amplifier, subwoofer boxes with speakers, a battery jump starter, miscellaneous hand tools, a large green rolling duffle bag containing clothing, and a pair of headphones.

• At 4:47 p.m. Tuesday, a 31-year-old woman reported the theft of two bicycles in the 9300 block of Lakeview Court. One was valued at $100 and the other at $20.

• At 4:24 p.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report of shoplifting from a business in the 8700 block of Glacier Highway.

• At 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, a 29-year-old man reported a 41-year-old man stole his vehicle on Nugget Drive. Investigation continues.

• At 8:34 p.m. Wednesday, JPD received a report of a 1995 Dodge truck that was damaged to the tune of $400 and approximately $100 worth of fuel stolen sometime between Aug. 11 and 16 in the 8500 block of Airport Boulevard.

• At 10:34 p.m. Wednesday, a 37-year-old woman reported the theft of carving tools and other items from her residence in the 1700 block of Douglas Highway.

• At 11:48 am. Wednesday, a 33-year-old woman reported her debit card was stolen and fraudulently used in Juneau.

Vandalism

• At 12:36 a.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report of vandalism to a business in the 200 block of Front Street. Approximately $200 worth of damage was reported. Investigation continues.
