Pizza delivery driver robbed by man wielding screwdriver

A robbery case involving a pizza delivery gone awry remains unsolved, and the Juneau Crime Line is willing to pay for help.

At 11:45 p.m. April 10, a pizza delivery driver was threatened by a man in a black ski mask, wielding a screwdriver and demanding the driver’s money bag. The man took the bag and fled on foot, and no sign of him has been found.

Both the Crime Line and the pizza company are offering up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the robber. Those with information should call the Juneau Police Department at 586-0600 or head to juneaucrimeline.com. An anonymous tip on the website can still qualify for a reward.

The male driver, from an unnamed pizza company, was directed to a non-existent address on Renninger Drive after receiving a phone call from a female. When he arrived, a man approached him and led him to an existing address nearby. After heading to that house and receiving no answer, the delivery driver turned to leave. It was then that the screwdriver-wielding robber grabbed the delivery man, threatened him and stole the money.

The masked man then fled, and officers have been unable to locate the man, his mask, his screwdriver or the money bag.
