Two Juneau Moose members receive Lifetime Achievement Awards

Shirley McCoy and James Reid hold their Lifetime Achievement Awards.

Shirley A. McCoy and James (Jim) Reid received Lifetime Achievement Awards at the Alaska Hawaii Moose Association State Conference which was held in March in Anchorage.

These awards were presented to McCoy and Reid for their commitments to their local Moose Home, the Juneau Moose Family Center, and their involvement in the community; also taken into to consideration for giving the awards to McCoy and Reid was their fundraising and support they gave along with the Juneau Moose Family Center to Mooseheart, a children’s home, and Moosehaven, a senior community.

Besides their local and state involvement, both Reid and McCoy have been active members with Moose International. Reid served for many years as territorial manager and McCoy was a grand council member. They have worked together to raise funds for many organizations in Juneau like Special Olympics, Aware Shelter, Wounded Warriors and Helping Hands to just name a few.

The Juneau Moose Family Center is located at 8335 Airport Blvd.
