Calling all beards and moustaches! Start growing your facial fuzz now for the second annual LumberJACC Beard and Moustache contest. Both men and women are welcome to compete in one of the three following categories:
Full Beard Natural: Must have complete facial hair. No styling aids allowed, light trimming/grooming acceptable.
Partial Beard: May have any combination of styled/non-styled beard and moustache. Shave, don’t shave, wax, twist, braid or color! The perfect category for the slightly more adventurous and fashion-forward. Styling aids allowed.
Moustache: Styling aids allowed.
Judging will take place at the Naughty or Nice party on Friday, Dec. 9. Contestants will be judged by three celebrity judges: Aaron Suring, World Beard and Moustache Champion; GiGi Monroe, a Juneau entertainer and Rep. Sam Kito III, D-Juneau. Judges scorecard are visible online at jahc.org.
To compete, purchase a ticket to the Naughty or Nice Party and specify that you are going hirsute (with facial fuzz!). Tickets are available at the JACC, Hearthside Books, and jahc.org.
