Midwinter concert upcoming

Registration for Juneau Lyric Opera’s midwinter vocal festival is now open.

The vocal festival for 28 years has brought Byron McGilvray to Juneau for workshop classes and a concert. The workshops this year are vocal small ensemble, Brahms vocal music, and the festival chorus. They’ll be held Dec. 30 – Jan. 7 at Holy Trinity Church (the corner of 4th and Gold Streets.)

The concluding concert is 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8 at Thunder Mountain High School. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for seniors and students, available at the door.

Register at the JACC, www.juneauopera.org, or by calling 586-2742.
