Learn to ski and snowboard

January is Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month, which includes the 34th annual Learn to Ski Weekend on January 16 and 17 at Eaglecrest Ski Area. With the help of Mendenhall Auto Subaru, this program awards free skiing, transportation, lessons, rentals, lift tickets and lunch to 40 randomly selected kids in third, fourth, and fifth grade. Winners are now posted at http://www.skijuneau.com/events.php#LTSW; they found out Jan. 14.

In addition to this event, Eaglecrest has Snowsports School Programs available all season long. The $119 Triple Play Learners Pack gets its purchaser three days on the mountain and includes lessons, rentals, and lift tickets. Upon completion, participants can buy a season pass at the spring rate. Also, the Adult Sunday Morning Learners Special is only $33.

Visit www.SkiJuneau.com for more information on Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month and Eaglecrest Snowsports School specials. You can also email eaglecrest@skijuneau.com or call (907) 790-2000.
