JGC’s most recent shoot results

On yet another, wet, overcast, beautiful dark day in Alaska’s capital city, the Juneau Gun Club held a PITA Registered Shoot. Only four members showed. The temperature ranged from 29 to 34 degrees Fahrenheit, with highways, roads, parking area and trap lanes transformed into sheets of ice. “Ice Melter” worked with time on the trap lanes. Three events were held with caretaker Rick Carter scoring for Singles and half of the Handicap Event.

Singles: “B” Class; Mer’Chant Thompson, 92/100, event & class winner; Fred Wilson and Mal Menzies, 76/100; “C” Class, Robert Gregg, 79/100.

Handicap: Short Yardage, Mer’Chant Thompson, 86/100, event and class winner; Fred Wilson, 69/100 and Robert Gregg, 66: Mid Yardage, Mal Menzies, 80/100.

Doubles (First, second 50 pair): “C” Class, Mal Menzies, 68/100, Event & Class Winner; Mer’Chant Thompson, 59/100; Robert Gregg, 57/100 and Fred Wilson, 53/100.

High Over All, Mer’Chant Thompson, 237/300= 79%.

Runner-Up, Mal Menzies, 224/300= 74.7%
