Girl Scouts give thanks for gardening help

Girl Scouts of Alaska Brownie Troop 4077 would like to thank the Juneau Garden Club, especially Master Gardeners Rachel Barth and Molly Hodges, for teaching our girls about gardening over the past year. We’d like to thank the Douglas Community Gardens for letting us use their kids’ plots this season to practice our Random Act of Flowers.

Troop 4077 ended the gardening season by planting bulbs in front of the Douglas Library sign. Thanks to CBJ for preparing the bulb garden space, and thanks to the Juneau Garden Club for purchasing 175 Rotary bulbs. Special thanks to Rachel Barth for working with us to plant the bulbs on a recent snowy Saturday.

Thanks for supporting our Girl Scout Brownies as we work together to make the world a better place. For more information about Girl Scouts of Alaska, please visit girlscoutsalaska.org or call 586-1710.
