Available Light Film Festival announces programming and guests for Industry

WHITEHORSE — The 14th annual Available Light Film Festival will take place at the Yukon Arts Centre and Kwanlin Dun Cultural Centre Feb. 7- 14, with two special pre-festival presentations taking place on Saturday, Feb. 6.

Canada’s largest feature film festival north of 60˙ is a celebration of Northern, Canadian and international cinema. The 14th festival will include more than 30 fiction and documentary films, four multi-disciplinary performances, workshops and a 5-day ALFF Media Industry Forum with filmmakers and industry delegates.

In addition to screening a line-up of films from northern Canada, South Africa and Ireland, ALFF will showcase Yukon musicians throughout the festival. Co-presented by Jazz Yukon and Music Yukon, these showcases of local musicians will take place at the Yukon Arts Centre Studio Theatre. Each artist will perform a one-hour set.
