Opinion: An attack on our courts is an attack on our democracy

Our founding fathers set up our three branches of government to be independent of each other. Now some Republican members of Congress are attacking our courts and calling the grand jury’s probe political, despite the jurors making the decision to charge Trump, based on evidence.

Some members of congress have called for protests. Trump has attacked the courts for years. He has warned there would be violence, which is his call for violence, just like Jan. 6. So why are our three Alaska Congress members silent? An attack on our courts is an attack on our democracy. Shame on them for their silence!
