It is time to lower the voting age to 16. We fully accepted that a 16-year-old student can operate a potentially dangerous vehicle safely. I argue that they will also vote as intelligent adults.
It is often stated that soldiers pay the ultimate sacrifice in dying for their country. It seems that students are paying the ultimate sacrifice for mere school attendance. Many in Congress have shamefully accepted gun lobby blood money while allowing grotesque weapons of war to slaughter our future generations.
Lower the voting age to 16 and see how Congress responds to young voters who are fed up with their inaction.
