Letter: Trump and Clinton not worthy of the presidency

They are like VERY Spoiled Children!

The Libertarian Party presidential candidate Gary Johnson is the best option for our nation in 2016.

The vote for Gary Johnson and his vice presidential running mate Bill Weld is the clear sane choice in this national election, and they are on the ballot in all 50 states. This two-time governor duo seeking the White House is the only voice of reason left in this discussion (or lack of) and they are the only two who aren’t allowed on the debate stage.

A majority of Americans (and Alaskans) wanted Gary Johnson to be on the debate stage according to a Quinnipiac University poll, but their wish was denied.

You may say “Gary Johnson will never win.” Well, he does have a chance with the help of Alaska!

Right now, neither Hillary Clinton nor Donald Trump has a comfortable path to 270 votes in the Electoral College. One or two states could very well determine the outcome — or prevent either Clinton or Trump from securing that crucial 270 votes.

If no candidate gets to 270, the election goes to the House of Representatives, one vote for each state! You think they will agree on Clinton or Trump?

Gary is a man of honor, not a career politician, is a competitive biker, and skier, has climbed Mount Everest and has climbed the highest peak on all seven continents, and vetoed 750 bills that he considered wasteful spending!

I suggest that you look at Gary before deciding the leader of our nation because your vote does matter and this year’s vote for Gary Johnson may be our best chance for a sane America.

Bill Braaten,

Juneau
