I support the reelection of Kate Troll to the City and Borough of Juneau Assembly.
I’ve known Kate since the 1980s when she worked out in Western Alaska to make sure fishermen had a strong voice in decisions that affected their livelihoods.
She’s gone on to work so everybody here in the capital city has a voice and an advocate.
Kate listens and gets things done. She worked with the Assembly to sensibly balance the budget, addressed local housing issues by opening more land for multi-family units, and is a tireless supporter of Housing First.
She worked to improve child care centers, better education for child care workers, and find solutions to address our public transit and solid waste issues.
Kate has been a strong supporter of our kids and schools, including full funding of education to the cap.
With serious questions now about state finances and how that will affect the capital, we need someone with Kate’s experience and proven track record; someone ready to jump back to work on day one.
Kate Troll was a great catch for the Juneau Assembly when she was first elected. I think she’s a keeper.
