Town hall aims to gather feedback from veterans

Other community members are also welcome.

A town hall meeting Tuesday is open to anybody in the community, but has one particular segment of the population in mind: veterans.

The Alaska VA Healthcare System is hosting the meeting at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Elizabeth Peratrovich Hall. Dr. Timothy Ballard, the Alaska VA Healthcare System director, is leading the event. It is free, and is expected to last until about 6:30 p.m.

The event allows for veterans, family members and community members to share feedback and stories as the VA looks to improve its services. VA representatives will be there to give one-on-one assistance to veterans after the town hall if they have questions about their individual claims.
