VANCOUVER, British Columbia — Authorities in British Columbia said a United Airlines flight was diverted to Vancouver due to a security concern and a passenger was taken into custody.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police said United Airlines Flight 1104, bound for Denver from Anchorage landed safely at Vancouver International Airport early Saturday.
The RCMP did not release details on what prompted the security concern or additional information on the person arrested and whether charges will be filed.
United Airlines said the plane was carrying 131 passengers and a crew of six.
The RCMP said operations at the Vancouver airport were not affected. The airline said it is working to rebook passengers on an alternate flight.
