Assault
• At 12:56 a.m. Sunday, the Juneau Police Department responded to an assault report on Shattuck Way in which alcohol was involved; investigation continues.
• At 1:55 a.m. Sunday, JPD responded to the report of an assault in the 200 block of Front Street with alcohol involved; investigation continues.
Drunken driving
• At 4 p.m. Saturday, JPD arrested Rebecca Vandkeuren, 41, in the 2600 block of Mendenhall Loop Road for driving while intoxicated, and took her to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Fire and medical
• On Wednesday, Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to seven EMS calls and five medical transports in the area throughout the day. At 1:25 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to the smell of smoke and active fire detectors on David Street, but nothing was located.
• On Thursday, CCFR responded to nine EMS calls and one medical transport. At 6:21 a.m., firefighters responded to the smell of smoke in an apartment complex on Glacier Highway, but nothing was found. At 11:48 p.m., firefighters on their way to a call found a non-injury vehicle accident on Egan Drive and provided traffic control until JPD arrived.
• On Friday, CCFR responded to three EMS calls and two medical transports. At 4:09 p.m., firefighters responded to a vehicle accident on Riverside Drive; they provided advanced life support to a woman and took her to Bartlett Regional Hospital. At 4:50 p.m., they were dispatched to a non-injury accident on Egan Drive.
• On Saturday, CCFR responded to 11 EMS calls and one medical transport. At 1:01 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to an open burn on Steelhead Street and asked the property owner to extinguish the fire. At 3:48 p.m., they responded to a vehicle accident on Glacier Highway, provided advanced life support to a woman and took her to BRH.
Sexual assault
• At 3:45 p.m. Saturday, JPD received a report of a sexual assault in the Juneau area; confidential investigation continues.
Theft
• At 12:32 p.m. Saturday, JPD responded to a report by a 40-year-old man in the 8700 block of Glacier Highway regarding the theft of a bicycle.
• At 2:54 p.m. Saturday, JPD responded to a theft report in the 3900 block of Mendenhall Loop Road; investigation continues.
• At 3:37 p.m. Saturday, JPD received a report by a 49-year-old man in the 9000 block of Cinema Drive that his bicycle had been stolen; investigation continues.
Vandalism
• At 11:31 a.m. Sunday, JPD received a report by a 55-year-old woman in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway that her tires were slashed; investigation continues.
