Police & fire for Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016

Burglary

• At 4:49 p.m. Tuesday, the Juneau Police Department received a report of burglary resulting in the theft of $15,000 worth of items in the 7800 block of Glacier Highway. Investigation continues.

• At 5:38 p.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report of a burglary in the 9100 block of Glacierwood Drive. Investigation continues.

Child abuse/neglect

• At 4:31 p.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report of child abuse/neglect in the Juneau area. Investigation continues.

Disorderly conduct

• At 1:31 a.m. Wednesday, JPD arrested Shelley Miller, 56, for disorderly conduct in the 3900 block of Portage Boulevard. She was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center in lieu of a $250 bail.

Domestic violence

• At 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, JPD investigated a domestic violence protective order violation in the Juneau area.

• At 11:09 p.m. Teusday, JPD arrested a 29-year-old man for domestic violence assault and criminal mischief in the Juneau area. He was taken to LCCC.

Drug activity

• At 6:21 p.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report of drug activity in the 400 block of Willoughby Avenue. Investigation continues.

Fire and medical

• On Tuesday, Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to 11 EMS calls, two transport calls, two calls to assist people in their homes, two calls that were cancelled en route and one call for a fire alarm triggered by cooking.

Fraud

• At 1:40 p.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report about a forged check in the Juneau area. Investigation continues.

• At 1:49 p.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report of fraud on a business account. Investigation continues.

• At 4:41 p.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report of Fraud in the 1200 block of Glacier Avenue. Investigation continues.

Theft

• At 12:27 p.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report of stolen tools in the 300 block of Willoughby Avenue. Investigation continues.

• At 12:42 p.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report of theft from a parked boat in the 6600 block of Douglas Highway. Investigation continues.

Vandalism

• At 1:47 p.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report of criminal mischief in the 2000 block of Lemon Creek Road. Investigation continues.

Warrant served

• At 9:19 a.m. Wednesday, JPD arrested Michael Hoyt for three outstanding warrants in the 100 block of Front Street. He was also arrested for resisting arrest, then taken to LCCC.

• At 10:37 a.m. Tuesday, JPD arrested Loy Eddie Lee, 55, on an outstanding extraditable warrant from Nevada. He was taken to LCCC as a fugitives from justice.
