Police & fire for Friday, Sept. 16, 2016

Death

• At 4:08 p.m. Tuesday, the Juneau Police Department began an investigation into the death of a 69-year-old man in the 300 block of Village Street. There are no signs of foul play.

• At 8:33 a.m. Wednesday, JPD began an investigation into the death of an 84-year-old man in the Juneau area. There are no suspicious circumstances and next of kin have been notified.

Drug activity

• At 8:35 p.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report of drug activity in the 9300 block of Glacier Highway. Investigation continues.

Fire and medical

• On Wednesday, Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to 12 EMS calls, six transport calls, two calls that were cancelled en route and one call to assist with resetting a fire alarm.

Theft

• At 2:48 p.m. Tuesday, a man reported his boat motor was stolen in the 100 block of Savikko Road.

• At 8:04 a.m. Wednesday, a 52-year-old man reported the theft of a small boat and outboard in the 5100 block of Glacier Highway.

• At 10:28 a.m. Wednesday, a man reported the theft of his medication on Egan Drive.
