For Wednesday, Sept. 17

Traffic Stop/Arrest

On Wednesday at 9:14, on the Glacier Highway, 37-year-old Michael Maass was arrested on a $2,500 Alaska State Troopers warrant for petition to revoke probation on original charges of two counts of unauthorized use of access device/ID and theft.

For Thursday, Sept. 18

Death Investigation

On Thursday at 10:24 a.m., investigation into the death of a 58-year-old man. Circumstances do not appear to be suspicious. Next of kin has been notified.

Motor Vehicle Collision without Injury

On Thursday at 10:31 a.m.: vehicle 1, a 2021 Tesla, driven by a 75-year-old man, and vehicle 2, a 2015 Subaru, driven by a 23-year-old woman. A light pole was knocked over.

Burglary

On Thursday at 12:47 p.m., on Point Lena Loop Road, a 50-year-old man reported a burglary to a business.

Shoplifting

On Thursday at 12:59 p.m., on the Glacier Highway, a report that a 28-year-old woman stole merchandise from a business.

Assault

On Thursday at 4:25 p.m., on the Glacier Highway, 33-year-old Joseph Pipenur was arrested for third-degree assault and violating conditions of release and was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Driving While Intoxicated

On Thursday at 9:39 p.m., on Vanderbilt Hill Road, 32-year-old Lorretta Harris was arrested for driving while intoxicated and taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center. The vehicle was impounded.

For Friday, Sept. 19

Trespassing

On Friday at 1:03 a.m., on Trout Street, 36-year-old Monika Escajeda was arrested for trespass, resisting, and violating conditions of release and was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Traffic Stop

On Friday at 2:29 a.m., on Anka Street, 34-year-old Lave Iputi was arrested on a $25 warrant for failure to appear for pretrial conference on the original charge of driving without a license and was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Fraud Forgery Counterfeit Non-Sufficient Funds

On Friday at 1:25 p.m., a 39-year-old man reported fraudulent activity on a bank account.

Shoplifting

On Friday at 6:58 p.m., on the Glacier Highway, a 43-year-old was cited for larceny and released.

For Saturday, Sept. 20

Arrest

On Saturday at 9:56 a.m., on the Glacier Highway, 29-year-old Paul Anthony Tomasi was arrested on two Alaska State Troopers warrants totaling $275 and was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Conditions Violation

On Saturday at 11:17 a.m., on Village Street, investigation into a subject who is non-compliant with the sex offender registry.

Trespassing

On Saturday at 2:15 p.m., on the Glacier Highway, 53-year-old Oscar Lawrence Snell, Jr. was arrested for criminal trespass and taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Domestic Dispute

On Saturday at 2:28 p.m., on Salmon Creek Lane, a 21-year-old was arrested for assault, fear assault, and assault in the presence of a child.
