Police calls for Tuesday, July 18, 2023

For Tuesday, July 18

Assault

At 6:34 p.m. on Tuesday, 55-year-old Mathew Arnold Brown was arrested on Front Street for assault. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center. Alcohol was a factor.

Death Investigation

At 5:51 p.m. on Tuesday, the Juneau Police Department began an investigation into the death of a 93-year-old man. The circumstances are not considered suspicious and next of kin have been notified.

Found Property

At 5:18 p.m. on Tuesday, a passport was turned into JPD for safekeeping.

Theft

At 5:11 p.m. on Tuesday, 30-year-old Brittany Martin was arrested on Glacier Highway for two count larceny and resisting arrest. She was taken to LCCC.

At 7:44 p.m. on Tuesday, 35-year-old Charles Smith Carroll was cited and released on Willoughby Avenue for larceny.

At 8:01 p.m. on Tuesday, JPD began an investigation into the theft of a bicycle on Alaway Avenue. It was recovered and taken to JPD for safekeeping.

Vehicle Impounded

At 10:16 a.m. on Tuesday, a black Ford pickup truck was impounded on Valley Boulevard.

At 12:39 p.m. on Tuesday, a 1999 Ford Ranger was impounded on Ferry Way for no displaying plates.
