Burglary

• At 8:03 a.m. Friday, Juneau Police Department continued an investigation into a report of a burglary in which someone stole a $1,000 Apple computer from a building in the 3400 block of Tongass Boulevard.

• At 11:47 a.m. Friday, a 47-year-old male reported a burglary in the 100 block of Shattuck Way.

Child abuse

• At 11:02 p.m., JPD opened a confidential investigation into a report of child abuse in the Juneau area.

Death

• At 1:38 p.m. Thursday, JPD investigated the death of an 84-year-old female in the 8200 block of Garnet Street. The death is not considered suspicious. Next of kin has been notified.

Drug activity

• At 5:13 p.m. Thursday, JPD opened a confidential investigation into drug activity in the Juneau area.

Theft

• At 1:24 p.m. Thursday, JPD investigated a report of a theft from a business in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway.

• At 5:36 p.m. Thursday, JPD arrested David Allen Lane, 48, for shoplifting from a business in the 8700 block of Glacier Highway.

• At 6:07 p.m. Thursday, JPD investigated a report of theft from Fred Meyer.

Suspicious activity

• At 1:52 p.m. Thursday, a rifle was found in the 8000 block of Glacier Highway and turned in to JPD.
