Perseverance Trail closed later this week

One of Juneau’s most popular trails will be out of commission later this week.

Due to landslides on Perseverance Trail, the City and Borough of Juneau Parks Maintenance crew will be working on the trail Thursday and Friday. The trail will be closed from 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. on both days while the crew uses an excavator removes debris from the landslides.

Gold Creek will also be closed from Snowslide Gulch to Ebner Falls during that same timeframe due to falling rocks and debris. For more about the trail and the repair work, call Parks & Recreation at 586-5226.
