Dunn Street construction starts next week
New water mains and storm drain improvements are coming to Dunn Street in the Mendenhall Valley, with construction starting next week.
Arete Construction, contracted by the City and Borough of Juneau, will be working from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday until the project is done. Work is expected to finish by mid-October, and people will still be able to access the businesses on Dunn Street during the project.
The construction will focus on improving storm drains, replacing the water main, new water service, partial sewer replacement, new asphalt and sidewalk, and new curb and gutters. The city asks that people pay attention to traffic control, and that anyone with questions during the reconstruction call PDC Engineers’ Mark Pusich (the project inspector) at 586-0882.
