Bartlett Hospital loses weight

The Juneau Police Department is asking for the public’s help locating an expensive weight scale taken from Bartlett Regional Hospital last month, along with the suspect they believe took it.

JPD highlighted the December incident as it’s Crime of the Week on Thursday. The scale, a Tanita BWB-800AS digital physician scale, is valued at $550.

According to police, a man wearing blue jeans, a hooded sweatshirt, a red jacket, and a black baseball hat with “THC” in yellow lettering on it, took the scale around 10 a.m. Dec. 15, 2015. The man was captured on video. The scale was used during Weight Watchers meetings held at the hospital.

Anyone with information is encouraged to log on to the Juneau Crime Line website and report their tip at juneaucrimeline.com. They also can call JPD at 586-0600.

Tipsters are guaranteed anonymity and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
