State and federal authorities want help identifying a man troopers say was seen near a structure fire the morning of July 3 in the Two Rivers area.

Alaska State Troopers, the Alaska State Fire Marshal and FBI are investigating several suspected incidents of arson that have occurred over the past three weeks in the Two Rivers and Pleasant Valley communities, Alaska State Troopers said in an alert.

In a release, the man authorities want to identify is shown in a photo wearing a khaki-colored hat, with a light beard.

In recent weeks, multiple buildings have been burned, including the Two Rivers Community Council Building and multiple residences, according to troopers. As of Saturday morning, three residences —two of which were occupied —had been burned within the past 24 hours, according to troopers.

People with information about the man are encouraged to contact Alaska State Troopers at (907)451-5100.
