The gym teacher at Gastineau Elementary School Dirk Miller held a fun run in early May. The elementary children at Gastineau were to seek donations in order to participate in the run. The money raised was then given to the Juneau Raptor Center. This money will go towards the care and feeding of the wild birds the JRC takes care of. We will be using this money for things such as food, medicine, veterinary appointments, etc.
The JRC would like to thank Dirk Miller for asking if we would be involved with this. We also wish to thank the participants in the run for the money they raised for us. The wild birds also sincerely thank you for your efforts.
