Owner of the Silverbow Inn, Jill Ramiel, recently graduated from the Fall 2015 Babson Cohort of Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses, a national program created to help entrepreneurs create jobs and economic opportunity by providing greater access to education, capital and business support services.
Starting last September, for 11 weeks, 146 small business owners from 33 states connected with peers and worked together through practical business education delivered through a blend of online and in-person sessions.
Ramiel was referred to the program by an Anchorage business associate and alumni. She was one of five other Alaska based businesses accepted into the program. Her growth plan focused on adaptive reuse potential for dilapidated and underutilized properties specifically in downtown Juneau.
