RiteCare Alaska to host Zero-K ‘No-Run’

RiteCare Alaska will host a “Zero K” event Oct. 13 at the Hangar Ballroom. The “Zero K” looks to capture the community spirit of a fun run, while eliminating the running or walking many participants could do without.

The event will feature live music, along with a pasta buffet (we wouldn’t want to skip carb loading, would we?), no-host bar and non-alcoholic drinks. Participants will also receive a race-day T-shirt and “0.0” sticker to commemorate their lack of achievement.

Proceeds from the event will benefit RiteCare Alaska, a 501(c)(3) philanthropic organization that has a mission of providing diagnostic evaluation and treatment of speech and language disorders, as well as learning disabilities.
