Local League of Women Voters to host first-ever wine tasting

League of Women Voters of Juneau will host its first ever Wine Tasting & Silent Auction fundraiser from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, at the Hangar Ballroom. The event will feature an assortment of wines from local distributors, an array of silent auction items (including a framed Rie Muñoz print commemorating women’s suffrage), music by Tom Locher, door prizes, and more.

Tickets are $30 for individuals and $50 for two. Purchase tickets through a Juneau board member listed online at juneaulwv.org/about.html or view contact information here: juneaulwv.org/contact.html.

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization encouraging informed and active participation in government. It influences public policy through education and advocacy, and relies on memberships and donations to fund its activities.
