On Wednesday, Dec. 14, The Light of the World members around the globe celebrated eight years of the apostolic ministry of the Apostle Naasón Joaquín García. Members joined together in their temples to give thanks to God in a service of praise and worship. The service was a moment to recall what happened in the early morning of Dec. 14, 2014, at 2:43 am. The Light of the World members were in constant prayer and supplication waiting for God’s direction. Then, God manifested to the faithful who he had chosen to lead: Naasón Joaquín García. During the initial address of Joaquin Garcia to the congregation, he explained how God spoke to him to lead, but also gave him a promise: “Naason, you will lead this great people; if they are great in your sight now, I will multiply them even more.”

Since that day, Naasón Joaquín García has been leading TLOTW to growth and prosperity. First, an exponential growth has been seen in the membership of congregations throughout the world. We have witnessed thousands of baptisms during the past eight years. A baptism is the initial step of a new member as they join the faith and commit to following the teachings of Christ. People of different age, ethnicity, educational background, and location have joined the faith. For example, many congregations in the United States have seen baptisms in the past several weeks. The congregations include those located in cities such as: Clint, Texas; Columbia, South Carolina; Indianapolis, Indiana; Los Angeles, California; Morgantown, West Virginia; and Oxnard, California. In addition, the baptisms have been seen internationally as well in countries like Belize, Colombia, Costa Rica, Finland, Mexico, Philippines, and others. Also, the growth of TLOTW has been noticeable because many temples have been built and dedicated to worship God in many countries including Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Colombia, Mexico, United States, and others.

This growth has been the result of the leadership of the apostle who has invited the members to preach the gospel to their friends and families. Joaquín García himself went on a universal tour, which began in January 2015, in which he visited members throughout the world and delivered a message for their faith. Joaquin Garcia has spoken of many different topics of faith like “The Love of God,” “The Plan of Salvation,” “The Universality of the Gospel,” and more. Additionally, Joaquin Garcia has spoken of topics that have improved the personal life of millions of members. For example, he has talked about “The Family,” “The Social Impact of The Light of the World,” “The Respect to the Authorities,” and other topics that aim to improve the communities that we live in. Furthermore, the apostle has designed studies for the different age groups to help the youth, adolescents, and children in this ever-changing world. For example, the youth of TLOTW have received instruction on how to stay away from alcohol, drugs, and bad habits. Additionally, the youth and children have been taught to be the best students in their classrooms and to seek educational opportunities. Thus, the public speeches given by the apostle Naason Joaquin Garcia have improved the household of millions of people worldwide.

For these reasons, The Light of the World faith celebrates eight years of consolation from God, manifested through His divine plan. We celebrate eight years of prosperity and growth thanks to the leadership of the apostle Naason Joaquín García. We are joyful in the perfect unity of our faith across the globe. We celebrate that God has fulfilled His promise these past eight years. To conclude, I would like to extend an invitation to hear the word of God. As the end of the year approaches, TLOTW will hold a special New Year’s Eve service in every temple around the world. I encourage you to take these steps to strengthen your faith. More information can be found at the official website TLOTW.org or The Light of the World social media pages. If you live in Juneau, we invite you to join us at: 1997 Dunn St. Suite No. 3 any day at 6:30 p.m. God bless you all!
