JUNEAU — For its upcoming fall production, Juneau Lyric Opera will install an art exhibition inside the Juneau Arts and Culture Center to serve as the stage setting for the Nov. 11-13 production of “Putting It Together.”
“Putting It Together” is a two-act musical revue showcasing the songs of Stephen Sondheim. Stage director William Conrow will have cast members play patrons attending the gala opening of an art exhibition.
Working alongside Conrow will be William Todd Hunt as the music director, Cindee Brown Mills as the producer, Sarah Evertt as the stage manager and Luke Weld as the pianist. The cast: Heather Mitchell as The Wife, Dan Wayne as The Husband, Jessica Skiba as The Young Woman, Patricia Hull as Her Partner (adapted), Derrick Grimes as The Host, and the Dancers will be Kim Andree, Joan Cahill, Janice Hurley and Alisha Falberg.
Showings will be Friday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 13 with an afternoon matinee at 2 p.m. There will be a no-host bar for all shows. Performance contains some mature content. General admission is $20 while table seating is $25. Tickets available at the JACC, Hearthside Books, juneauopera.org and at the door; there will be a limited number of (first-come, first-served) pay-as-you-can seats at the door.
