The Alaska State Council on the Arts awarded more than $507,000 in grants to Alaska artists and arts organizations in its first funding quarter of this fiscal year. Multiple awards went to Juneau arts organizations.
Juneau Dance Theater Inc. received $2,700 and Alaska Arts Education Consortium $8,640 from the Operating Support Annual Grants.
Alaska Junior Theater received $8,320 and the Juneau Arts & Humanities Council received $14,553 from the Operating Support First Biennial Grants.
Juneau Jazz & Classics received $9,900 from the Operating Support Second Year Biennial Grants.
Museums Alaska received $4,000 from the Community Arts Development First Quarter Grants.
The Juneau Arts & Humanities Council also received $8,000 from the Arts Education Special Project Grants. Additionally they received $15,000 from the Artist in Schools Round 1 Grants.
