SOLDOTNA — A 19-year-old Soldotna woman died Monday in a head-on crash on the Sterling Highway.

Alaska State Troopers say Raquelle Reynolds was alone in sport utility vehicle that crashed about five miles south of Soldotna with a pickup driven by 59-year-old Randolph Carlyle of Soldotna.

Carlyle was transported to a hospital with injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Troopers at 5:35 a.m. took a call of the crash at Mile 90. They diverted traffic around the crash scene to side roads.
