Alaska Department of Health and Social Services reports another confirmed case of COVID-19 in Juneau, according to City and Borough of Juneau.

The source of the virus is unknown in the newest case, according to DHSS. Juneau has had 11 cumulative confirmed cases of COVID-19, according to DHSS and CBJ. News of the new case was shared Friday afternoon by the city.

CBJ is coordinating closely with DHSS, according to the city. Officials with the state Division of Public Health will initiate a contact investigation and reach out to anyone who may have come into contact with this person. Public Health will notify and isolate additional persons as appropriate.
