Police, CCFR respond to two deaths Wednesday

The Juneau Police Department responded to a possible suicide Wednesday in the Mendenhall Valley area.

A 26-year-old man was pronounced dead on arrival, according to a Capital City Fire/Rescue report. Police said the death did not appear suspicious and foul play is not suspected.

CCFR responded to a second death Wednesday, in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway. A woman was pronounced dead upon arrival. Fire department officials did not release her age and police are not investigating the death.
