Candlelight vigil for those battling, lost to heroin

Published 9:03 am Friday, January 29, 2016

The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence will sponsor a candlelight vigil to remember those lost and continuing to struggle with addiction.

From 7-7:30 p.m. Saturday at Marine Park, community advocates Michele Morgan, Reagen Eidsness and Carlton Smith will share words of hope.

The Juneau Stop Heroin Start Talking organization, a group within NCADD, is also sponsoring the event. The vigil coincides with National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week, a movement to debunk misconceptions of drug use.
